About me
For the past 21 years, I have dedicated myself to the field of education. Over the last 9 years, I have served as an elementary library/media specialist at Charleston Elementary STEAM Academy in Bradley County, TN. Prior to this role, I worked as a classroom teacher and instructional coach, where I presented new teaching strategies to fellow educators. As a state trainer, I led the implementation of 2nd-grade Common Core ELA standards across Tennessee. I have actively pursued professional development through programs such as the Tennessee Rural STEM Fellowship, PEF STEM Fellowship, and Innovative Leaders Fellowship. Additionally, I regularly present on grant writing and recently spoke at the Tennessee STEM Innovation Network conference. With a passion for learning and sharing knowledge, I strive to make a positive impact on students and fellow educators, fostering a love for education and embracing innovative teaching methods.
