About me
I am a dedicated fifth-grade math teacher with a deep commitment to fostering positive, well-structured classrooms where students feel supported and ready to learn. My approach to classroom management blends both CHAMPS and COMP (Classroom Organization and Management Program) strategies, which I’ve implemented successfully to create an environment of clear expectations, mutual respect, and student accountability. I became certified to facilitate COMP professional development in June 2021 and have led sessions each year since to help colleagues build effective, consistent routines and student engagement techniques. I am dedicated to sharing research-based strategies that work. My passion for classroom management stems from a belief in its transformative power to enhance learning outcomes and build strong, collaborative classroom communities. I am eager for the opportunity to present at the mini-summit, where I hope to provide practical, research-based strategies that educators can immediately apply in their own classrooms.
